Parents of high school students are invited attend. These are one and a half hour classes, followed by a half hour question and answer period. Two major topics covered include Academic Preparation and Financial Implications of College Planning. Some questions answered will include: How to maximize the potential for gift-aid, grants, and scholarships; will colleges negotiate a lower price and when; what is the timeline for success and where to start; what are the new tax laws: and more. The emphasis of these seminars is not only on reducing the cost of college, but also the time in the search and application process. Handouts will be provided, but participants are asked to bring a pen and pad for note-taking. Please contact Tony Luther at: 203-929-3593 if you would like to attend.
