A description of all of the hardware and software available for public use.

Computers

Computers are available with Internet connections at both libraries. Most computers run Windows XP. There is one iMac at the Branch. There are laptops available for check-out within the libraries.

Software

The Microsoft Office Suite is available on most computers. Microsoft Publisher is available on select computers at both libraries. The iMac at the Branch carries the Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie, and much more.

Wireless

Wireless Internet service is available at the Branch, and will soon be available at the Plumb.

Copying and Printing

The public can print from the computers, scan documents, and make copies for $.10 per black and white page, $.50 per color page.

Training

Minor computers questions can be answered by the reference staff at Plumb. Individual technology lessons are available at the Branch Library, contact Shawn Fields, Branch Director, at: 203-926-0111 or sfields@biblio.org.

Fax

Fax machines are available for sending and receiving faxes for a fee of $.25 per page.
