Shelton Family Read – Dying to Meet You: 43 Old Cemetery Road
The first 75 families will receive a free copy of Dying to Meet You: 43 Old Cemetery Road, by Kate Klise, thanks to the Weller Foundation. Books will be handed out starting April 1st. Read and enjoy the book, and join us for the following activities – including our Pen Pal Program below! Pen-Pal program registration runs from March 21st to April 1st.
Book Discussion & Activity, Weds. April 13, 6 pm-7 pm. Get your family’s copy and read together so you are all ready for this book discussion. Then the fun continues with book-based activities, for kids in elementary school and up. Drop-in.
I.B. Grumply Cordially Invites You… Sat. April 23, 1:30 pm-2:30 pm. Shelton Family Read celebrates family reading and continues with a soiree! Party guests partake in book-related games, crafts and surprises, too. All ages welcome! Drop-in.

Ghostly Science Pics, Monday, April 4, 4:45pm-5:15pm, children, ages 6-11, are invited to create ghostly pictures using ordinary objects and sunlight! Please register at the Branch (203-926-0111) beginning March 21.
Ghostly Detectives, Monday, April 25, 5:30pm-6:15pm, children ages 6-11. Learn just-for-fun tips for ghost hunting. Then, use a ghost-detector app to search for ghosts in the library! Please register at the Branch (203-926-0111) beginning April 11.
Inspired by events in Kate Klise’s Dying to Meet You participants at both libraries will be matched with pen-pals from the other library. Write back and forth, get to know each other by letter, then meet your pen pal at the end-of-month party! Register at either library by April 1st! (details here)
Pen-Pal Pizza Party, Thursday, April 28, 6pm-8pm. A meet and greet custom-designed for all the kids (from both libraries) in our Pen-Pal Program! Meet each other, and play a game or two, enjoy some pizza and see who really knows their pen-pal; register at Plumb beginning April 14.
