Announcements
The Huntington Branch Library Will be Closed for Renovations
The Huntington Branch Library will be closed to the public starting January 29th for renovations. The book drop will be unavailable, so please hold all library materials until April 8th as there are no late fees. You are encouraged to check out as many items as you wish until January 27th to be kept until April 8th.
Plumb will remain open during the renovations at the Branch. Patrons can still call or visit Plumb, and books on hold will also be available there.

Plumb Memorial Library’s Donation Policy
The Plumb Memorial Library accepts donations of materials in clean, usable condition. All donations become property of the Friends of the Shelton Libraries to be used at their discretion.
We WILL gratefully accept:
- Hardcover books
- Paperbacks
- Children’s Books
- Audiobooks
- DVDs
- Record albums (not warped or scratched)
- Jigsaw puzzles (complete)
We DO NOT accept:
- Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Medical, Computer, or Condensed Books
- Magazines or Newspapers
- Cassette Books / Music
- Music CDs
- VHS Tapes
- Toys / Games / Stuffed Animals
- Any materials that are damaged
The library is not obligated to return any donated items or to inform the donor of the status of their donated items.
Plumb Memorial Library will be accepting donations in the green book drop on Tuesdays & Saturdays from 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Library Checkout Security Reminder
To protect your security, as of Monday, March 21st, we are requiring all patrons to present a valid library card or verifiable ID with address when checking out any library items.
