This is a special program and it does not count toward your child’s 3 programs per month at Plumb Memorial Library.
Only ONE family member needs to register the other members of their family attending.

Event Details
In honor of National School Bus Safety Week: October 20-24, Plumb Memorial Library is hosting a special school bus safety workshop by BusPatrol: the leading provider for school bus technology. BusPatrol partners with school districts to enhance student safety through innovative stop-arm enforcement programs, equipping school buses with advanced camera systems to deter illegal passing and protect children during their commutes.
Shelton is one of the first school districts in Connecticut to install this special safety technologies on all of their school buses!
During this interactive family-friendly workshop, participants will:
- learn about safety tips for getting on and off a school bus
- learn to properly and carefully cross the street
- engage in a variety of engaging activities such as trivia and songs specifically about the importance of bus safety
Plus, no need to worry about cooking that night, BusPatrol will be generously providing a pizza dinner for families who participate. And to further sweeten participating family’s experiences, The Friends of the Shelton Libraries will be generously providing the funding for dessert too!
