Plumb’s Smokey Bear Reading Challenge

Read, Discover, Learn! To acknowledge Smokey Bear’s 80^th Birthday, Plumb is having a special reading challenge! Children babies through children in 6^th grade are welcome to participate in “Plumb’s Smokey Bear Reading Challenge”! Plumb’s Children’s Staff has curated a special list of books for children to choose during this reading program. The books in this list highlight subjects such as famous bears, conservation, forests, fire safety, nature and fuzzy critters too.

Children are welcome to read these selected books either here while visiting Plumb or by checking up to 3 of these books out to bring home to read! For each book a child reads from our list, the child will be encouraged to complete a “Smokey Bear Ticket” which will include the following information: Child’s Name, Age, Phone Number, Book Title and a chance to Rate the book by circling: a Thumbs Up or a Thumbs Down.

Tickets can be placed in 2 labeled containers on Plumb’s Children’s’ Desk: 1) Babies through 4 years old OR 2) Grades Kindergarten through 6^th Grade.

The more books your child reads, the more your child will learn. The more tickets your child enters, the more chances your child will have to win a prize.

There will be 2 prize drawings: 1) Ages: Babies – 4 years old AND 2) Grades: Kindergarten through 6^th
