The Whalemobile

What is The Whalemobile? The Whalemobile is a life-sized, inflatable humpback whale named Nile that visits schools and libraries to provide an immersive, hands-on educational experience about whales and ocean conservation. During the program, participants go inside the whale to learn about whale anatomy, behavior, and their role in the ecosystem, using real artifacts like bones and baleen. Outside the whale, grade-level appropriate activities reinforce learning and encourage students to become ocean advocates.

• Important information to note per presenter: Age of participants is FIRM. Photographs and/or videos may be captured during the program, featuring the children and the organization. The Whalemobile reserves the right to utilize these media assets for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the creation of promotional materials, content on The Whalemobile website, and posts on The Whalemobile’s official social media platforms, which may encompass Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and others.

There are 20 spots per session, which are ideally for children only. If an adult needs to accompany a child inside the whale, the adult must also register separately. This program will be located in the Community Center Gymnasium.
