Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra, often referred to as “yogic sleep” is a guided meditation that allows you to enter a state of conscious physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Yoga Nidra is known to facilitate profound healing and transformation through finding complete rest in a state of dynamic sleep. You will lay in savasana the entire time as you follow the guided mediation into deeper layers of consciousness within a state between wakefulness and sleep.
Please bring water and a blanket. Traditionally, yoga nidra is done without a pillow, but feel free to bring one for comfort. Yoga mats are optional, as the library has them available for use.
Instructor Bio: Shannon has been practicing yoga for over five years. Since working at a yoga studio and wellness center in 2021, she knew she wanted to help others physically, mentally, and spiritually. Shannon is Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, and Reiki Il certified, and is currently pursuing her Reiki Masters certification. Her future prospects include opening a wellness practice of her own. In her free time, Shannon enjoys reading, writing, painting, and being in nature as much as possible.
