Registration is required for each child participating. Register online, through a link on Miss Maura’s Programs Facebook Page, or by calling (203) 924-1580 ext. 5108.
New Program Policy: Please only register your child for 3 programs per month. This is being done to provide as many children an opportunity to attend a library program.

Preschoolers of ages 4, 5, 6 years old are welcome to join Miss Maura for this unique puzzle program. The library will provide the floor puzzles and Miss Maura will pair each child with another child aka a “Preschool Puzzle Pal” to work on a colorful floor puzzle together.
Children will be encouraged by Miss Maura to:
- Learn how to problem solve through their own strategies
- Use hand and eye coordination to try to figure out the provided puzzle with the help of their assigned Preschool Puzzle Pal.
- Use their words to practice their own communication skills
- Make friends with a new library pal by working together to solve a puzzle
Caregivers, you will be present in the Puzzle Room and the library will provide you with coffee and tea, and a seat plus an opportunity to visit with other Caregivers.
BUT Caregivers, you will not be helping your child. This pre-reading program is specifically geared for your preschool children to gain independent skills by learning through their own trial and error.
