Passport to CT Libraries 2026
How does the “Passport to Libraries” program work?
- When does “Passport to Libraries” run?
“Passport to Libraries” runs every other year. This year it will run from April 1-30. - How does it work?
Starting April 1st, stop in at your hometown library and pick up your program passport and list of participating libraries. Then visit as many libraries as you like until April 30 and get your passport stamped at those libraries (and pick up some goodies along the way). Turn in your passport to your hometown library no later than May 11th to be entered into the prize drawing. - Do I need a library card to join?
No, but we encourage you to get one! - Do I have to visit every library?
No. Everyone who visits at least 5 different participating libraries will be entered in a random drawing for a prize. Make sure the libraries you visit are participating in the Passport program. - If a visit a town that has a main library and a branch library (like Shelton), will I get a stamp on my passport at each one?
Possibly – check your list of participating libraries to be sure. Here in Shelton both the Plumb Memorial and Huntington Branch are participating. - What are the prizes?
This year there are 6 chances to win a $200 Visa gift card, along with random drawings for the adult who has visited the most libraries, the child under 18 who has visited the most libraries, adults who have visited more than 5 libraries and children under 18 who have visited over 5 libraries. The drawings will happen on June 15th. We will contact you if you are a winner!
